Wear It Wednesday – 5 Ways to Style Summer Florals

It’s been an extremely long time coming (about six months to be exact) but Wear It Wednesday is back, and better than ever! When I first launched the series I knew I wanted to transition the segment onto YouTube, but first tested it out with blog posts and photos. It was a success and I absolutely loved producing these posts. It took a few months to find the right team to help with the video and editing, but I am completely head over heels excited to share the launch of Wear It Wednesday and my Youtube channel!

I wanted to kick things off with my favorite print of the season—florals. Almost everyone has a floral piece in their wardrobe, and they can really elevate a look. If you have ever seen “Devil Wears Prada,” I’m sure you’re repeating the infamous Miranda Priestly line from the movie, “Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.” I get it. Florals can seem a little overrated for spring and summer, so I wanted to share 5 fresh ways to style florals this season. From mixing Plaid and floral prints for the office, mixing and matching various floral sizes and prints for a cohesive look, and of course adding my own little personal flair with loads of accessories.

THE OFFICE FLORAL

This little jumpsuit is my favorite! It’s so easy to toss on during the weekend, and I kept things casual with floral slides, a matching bag and vintage scarf. I also tossed on a floral jacket in case it’s a little cold.

THE DATE NIGHT FLORAL

Wearing a jacket as a shirt? Yes please! I paired this cropped jacket with a floral skirt, color block heels and silver accessories. I added extra florals with the clutch.

THE GIRL’S NIGHT OUT FLORAL

Gingham meets floral—the new summer floral dress! I toughened up the dress with a belt, black mules and crossbody bag. I finished off the look with oversized earrings and a bold lip.

You can catch me soaking up summer at a rooftop bar this summer! I paired this halter crop top with a ruffle skirt and booties. The weather is always changing here in NYC so I tossed on a jacket, just in case.
