You know the saying, “one man’s trash is another man’s else’s treasure?” Well sometimes I don’t think it’s necessarily trash – it’s a story waiting for someone else to discover. I discovered this jacket about a year ago in a vintage thrift shop with my dad in my hometown. Arizona has amazing thrift finds due to the fact that it’s a large retirement community. People retire their winter coats (yes please!) or other trinkets and I love finding them and wondering the story behind them. I know some people think thrifting is stressful or ‘dirty’, but some of my favorite pieces from thrift stores or gifts from loved ones, like this purse! My sister bought this purse in Venice a few years ago on a backpack trip through Europe. Over the holidays we were cleaning out our closets at our parent’s house and she gave me this purse. It’s a sweet little story I get to carry around with me! What are your favorite thrifted or vintage items? I want to hear! Comment below or tweet @simplyaudreek. xoxo
