I never used to be a person to actively online shop. I like being able to try on the pieces, look at them in person and decide right then if I want the piece. But lately that has all changed. I don’t have the time or even energy to go shopping. My friend, and old NYC roommate, Sam told me that Trunk Club was expanding to a women’s section and I was so excited! Sam is a personal stylist for Trunk Club in Chicago and I’m lucky enough to team up with them this week to test out a women’s trunk for the blog!
In case you don’t know, Trunk Club is a clothing service for men (now women too!) – they carry a wide range of high-end brands and customers are assigned a personal stylist to pick out various items to try on at home. It was such a luxury for someone to pick out my clothes and be my stylist for a change! First, Sam had me fill out a questionnaire about my personal style and sizing and then she did the rest! She sent 15 items – coats, dresses, jeans, even shoes. With Trunk Club the client has 10 days to try on the items at home, decide if they like it and return what they don’t want. Shipping is free both ways and you’ll only be charged for the items you decide to keep! Sam also sent me a ton of outfit suggestions with the pieces she included in the trunk. Funny enough, I purposely didn’t look at it before I styled my outfits so I could let my creativity run, but afterwards I looked and we actually had matched a lot of pieces together!
I highly suggest checking out Trunk Club – I always recommend people hiring personal stylists, and with Trunk Club it’s a seamless process and no commitment. The next few days I’ll be posting three different Trunk Club outfits but here is preview of what my trunk was like and my outfits. Enjoy! xo
