One of three things happened the past year – I had a growth spurt, my dryer is a monster, or I finally gained the college and 21+ weight. My money is on the latter two but either way, this top was actually a dress when I first bought it a year ago. I wore it to my first fashion week but after drying it, the front part of the dress definitely shrunk a couple inches and well… no one wants to see that much of Audree. I was about to donate the dress when I remembered a recent article I saw online about the comeback of the shirt dress, thanks for Sarah Jessica Parker! I tried on the dress with leggings, rolled up the sleeves of the dress and BAM – I birthed the shirt dress. I am so happy I had an innovative streak during my cleaning spree because I’m seriously obsessed with this outfit! Other ways to match your old dresses are with shorts and calf-high gladiator sandals, or with a body-con skirt for a night look.
I wore this outfit to the launch party for The Glam App last week – a new beauty app that with a push of a button The Glam App delivers beauty experts to your front door! You can book various services from hair, nails and make-up, so basically they are bringing the salon to you (can I get an amen for never needing to put on pants?! I mean maybe…). But it just launched in Phoenix (also currently in LA, Orange County, Las Vegas, Dallas and NYC) and it was so great to have a girl’s night out with some of my favorite local bloggers! Check out a few snaps of the party and shop my look at the bottom of the post. Happy Tuesday!
