The Pink Duster Coat

My oh my, we are done with week one of 2018, and I’m feeling good! I spent the past week working from home or coffee shops, rolling out new projects for SAK, planning out the year, prepping for upcoming styled shoots and trying new personal and business routines. I started Whole30 on the 1st with a couple friends and it has been a big adjustment. If you’re not familiar with Whole30, it’s an elimination diet where you eliminate added sugar, alcohol, grains, legumes, soy, and dairy from your diet for 30 days (you can read more here). Now, I have never and I mean never, been able to stick to a diet. I eat fairly healthy on a regular basis and cook at home a majority of the time, but I do have a sweet tooth and a tendency to indulge (your girl loves her bread, cheese and dessert!). If you’ve done Whole30 before and have any must-try recipes or pieces of advice, I’d love to hear from you.

On the blog front, I started “Q&A Sunday” last night on Instagram where I answer follower questions on my Instagram stories. It’s a fun way to connect with all of you and answer any questions you might have about SAK, my career or personal things about me. Today’s look is featuring my newest favorite coat. I recently added this long pink faux fur duster coat to my collection and I cannot stop wearing it! I wanted to keep the look’s focus on the coat so I layered a super chunky turtleneck, lace-up jeggings and my new leather boots. Since New York has been super cold the past weeks, I tend to focus more on my outerwear and shoes (versus my inner layers) because I’m so bundled up.
