My favorite part of the summer growing up was always back-to-school shopping. My mom and I would drive two hours to Phoenix and spend the day shopping at all of our favorite stores. My hometown didn’t have that many trendy stores, so it was always a treat to go to a big mall and shop. At the end of the day and a handful of full shopping bags, I would host a mini living room fashion show for my dad. The next couple of weeks leading up to school, I would strategically plan out my First Day of School outfit, the second day, and so on. I took back-to-school shopping very seriously, and part of me misses it now as an adult! On Tuesday, I posted my “back-to-work” look, and today I wanted to freshen things up and share what I “would” wear on my first day of school.
For the look, I tied this vintage oversized men’s plaid button up backwards over a plain white tee and patchwork jeans. I wore the same loafers from the Back-to-Work outfit and layered on the gold accessories. I love how this plain tee and jeans look can be completely transformed with just a plaid shirt! Also, it’s super comfy for classes or your Casual Friday at work! Make sure to check out the blog tomorrow for my Back-to-Work and Back-to-School essentials for fall! xo
