Happy almost Election Day!

In Fifth Grade I was elected Student Body President of my elementary school. I think I won the election because I told my classmates in my speech that I was going to ask the administration to put televisions in every classroom. At the time, the school had to share just a handful of TV’s on rolling stands (remember the good old days?) so I thought my proposal would solve problems, plus add a great bonus for students. Also…it was by far the coolest promise in the election speeches. Pizza everyday for lunch? Please. Televisions blew that one out of the water.

Unfortunately my proposal did not pass, but that didn’t stop me from becoming Student Body Treasurer in middle school, and later continuing my political involvement as Public Relations Coordinator for the Undergraduate Student Government at Arizona State University. I guess you can say I had, and still do, have a passion for people and the community around us. My political jIourney ended in college, but i’m here today doing what I do best, helping you get dressed!

I’ve always been the person to plan out my outfits, dress special for an occasion, etc. and today is no different – I have partnered with White House Black Market to share my election day outfit! I have actually been looking for the perfect white blazer and Superga white sneakers – so it was the perfect match and addition to my wardrobe! This outfit kind of reminds me of a retro rock-n-roll vibe with the open blazer, skinny scarf and mock turtleneck – it’s my perfect version of an effortlessly cool look that is comfortable and ready for any occasion.
