Love Is…

 

Love is, late-night pizza and leather jackets. Love is, the rush of New York City streets but the absolutely serenity of sitting in Central Park with no agenda. Love is, this personal space I have created called Simply Audree Kate. The past year I have gone through a love-hate relationship with myself and my life. Some days I wake up and love New York and everything I am doing, and other days I want to pack up my bags and I ask myself if I’m good enough. I have looked for love in the wrong places – jobs, friendships, hobbies, and relationships, and I have realized that other things cannot bring me happiness or love, it’s my choice and my decision to fall in love. My roommates and myself joke about going through a quarter life crisis, but I think most 20-somethings, or anyone, can relate to this feeling of insecurity and uncertainty from time to time.

This year has been a 365 days of growth, learning and getting back up when I feel like I can’t. I was on the phone with my dad last night venting about life, and he said that my problems were so small and I was going to look back on this and realize I made it through, and laugh. It’s true – even though this has probably been one of the hardest years, I have learned to focus on the big picture – what I love, what love is to me, and how I can incorporate that into my everyday life. I absolutely love this space, so thank you joining me on this crazy adventure! I am beyond excited to see what the rest of this year, especially next year, has to offer. I have a feeling it’s going to be kick ass. Happy November! xo
