Saturday, September 10th, was my busiest day of New York Fashion Week, but I was able to sneak in a little fun too that day! Fresh Step launched their Hot to Adopt campaign during NYFW, and I stopped by to check it out! The mission of the campaign is to eliminate barriers to cat adoption—you know I’m talking about that “crazy cat lady” stigma—and helping cats find a forever home.
Millions of cats enter shelters each year, yet less than half get adopted. This is why Fresh Step is on a mission to help every shelter cat find a forever home. On Saturday, Fresh Step hosted a fashion lounge and adoption event with actress and host, Katie Cassidy—where felines and fashion came together for a mini fashion show to demonstrate that it’s #Hot2Adopt. And seriously, those kittens were WAY too cute.
During the show, the models wore a limited edition Hot to Adopt T-shirt. A portion of the proceeds will benefit cats across the country; and they’re available at freshstep.com. If you’re a “Feline Fashionista/o”, Fresh Step is asking you to wear your best feline-inspired finery for “Feline Fashion Fridays”. If you follow @FreshStep on Instagram and post a picture of your outfit using the hashtag #freshstepcontest each Friday through October, you’ll be entered for a chance to win free Fresh Step litter, a $250 VISA Gift Card and the limited edition #hot2adopt T-shirt!
