Last week my family surprised me with a phone call saying that they were all pitching in to buy me a ticket home for Christmas!! Since I moved to NYC I didn’t think I was going home for Christmas; the flights are crazy expensive and I told myself I would just wait until the spring. But, I guess it’s my little birthday and Christmas miracle! I’m extremely excited to be home, spend time with loved ones and have some real homemade meals. In the meantime, I’m soaking in all the holiday cheer in the city – trees are lining the streets, lights are up and my holiday bucket list is longer than the days I have left.
