Checkmate

First of all, this dress has pockets. The end. That’s it. This dress has my heart. Do you remember that scene in Bridesmaids, you know what I’m talking about, when Kristen Wigg is trying on the bridesmaid dress and says, “It’s a great color, it’s a great length, it’s fun, you can twirl, you can move in it, you can…spread your legs apart. And it’s a great price.” These were my exact thoughts when I tried it on at the thrift store, and whenever a dress or skirt has pockets I’m instantly sold.

But in all seriousness, I’m so excited for fall. I’m ready for the sweaty subway commutes to end and I can finally start wearing jackets and boots. I matched this dress with my vintage square handkerchief (see how else I styled this scarf: here and here), my go-to leather jacket and strappy sandals from Pitaya. I hope you all have a great Labor Day Weekend and make sure to be on the look out for some exciting collaborations and projects coming out later this month! xo
