I have a good feeling about 2018 you guys! I started off the year refreshed, recharged and eager to start some projects I’ve been brainstorming the past year. So what’s in store for Simply Audree Kate in 2018? Well, I’m going to tell you! (well some of it)…but first, I’m over the moon excited to share my new little trailer for Simply Audree Kate:

AH! I worked with my dear friend Brooke from Brooke Marcella Photography on the video when I was in Arizona for Phoenix Fashion Week in October. I have officially watched it over 100 times and I hope you guys like it! I wanted to create a video to show you a little bit more about me. You might only know me as “Simply Audree Kate”—the blogger, or maybe we’ve worked together in the past and you know me from magazines, or we went to school together ages ago. This video was a way to re-introduce myself to my audience as not only the blogger behind Simply Audree Kate, but also a fashion stylist, fashion editor and industry consultant.
Earlier this week I shared my personal 2018 resolutions on the blog (read here), and my word for the year was balance. This word is also going to play into my business resolutions and goals for 2018 because I plan on dedicating time to each different area of my business this coming year. Keep scrolling to read how!
Simply Audree Kate
SAK is just getting started! I plan on producing even more blog posts, creating YouTube videos, growing on social media, and expanding our little community on and offline. I plan on offering you more shopping opportunities throughout the website, and I’ll be starting a weekly Q&A series on Instagram stories to answer any questions you have! I don’t want to give away too much yet, so make sure to subscribe to the blog and follow me on all social media accounts!
Styling
The past couple of years I’ve been mainly styling under different brands, publications and stylists—so this year I will be creating more of my own shoots and editorials. I launched Audree Kate Studios in November and I’m thrilled to be taking on this new endeavor.
When I was in college and first moved to NYC, I did a lot of personal styling for clients, and I plan on incorporating that back into my schedule this year. I do personal shopping, event dressing, closet organization and more, so if you or someone you know might be interested, send me an email! I also offer virtual styling and personal shopping for anyone not in NYC or AZ.
Editing / Freelance Writing
Outside of the blog-o-sphere, I am also a freelance fashion editor and writer! I am a freelance fashion editor for StyleCaster.com (see my author page here), and I occasionally write for various other websites. I love being connected to the fashion industry through various outlets because I have the unique opportunity to see the industry from all different angles—from the consumer, the editor, the blogger BFF and the creative behind-the-scenes stylist.
This year I plan to continue editing and writing, so make sure to follow my Facebook page where I share all of my articles!
Consulting
This is my newest adventure. Last year I launched my fashion industry workshop for college students and was able to speak to a handful of schools including, UC Davis, Arizona State University and LIM College. I already have schools slated for the spring semester, and I’m eager to expand this platform.
In 2018, I will be producing more blog content surrounding the fashion industry / career advice and well as some offline opportunities for students. I won’t go into too much detail now, but if you’re interested in this, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for updates!
In addition to my industry workshops, I have had the opportunity to speak at Phoenix Fashion Week’s business seminars the past two years now, and would love to continue talking about the business behind blogging and how to create your own brand. I believe that sometimes the blogging industry is glamorized and people don’t want to share their “trade secrets” or talk about the hardships, money or strategy—I want to change that conversation and answer questions, give advice and learn more myself about the industry.
So there you guys have it—2018 is just getting started and I cannot wait to take you on this journey with me. Cheers to a year of growth, expansion and (one day) taking over the fashion world 😉 hehe. xo
