For all my ladies out there, do you know how sometimes your guy’s shirt is just better than your own? I think most of my lady friends will admit that they have “stolen” their guy’s shirt, sweatshirt or something from their closet once or twice before. So for today’s post, I’m sharing 5 ways you can style your guy’s pieces – from his tee, dress shirt, college sweater, blazer, hoodie and even his tie. Maybe you’re running late in the morning and stayed over, or maybe you just simply want to revamp your wardrobe – either way, let’s check out today’s Wear It Wednesday tutorial!
P.S. – A majority of these pieces are menswear, and if you don’t feel like borrowing his clothes, they don’t fit, or no guy in the equation (ditto) – explore the men’s section while shopping and buy some pieces in your size there!
1. The Office Look
Take his graphic or sports tee and pair it with a DIY dress shirt skirt. I recently did the same type of skirt (HERE) – all you do is button up his dress shirt 3/4 way from the bottom, slide it over your hips and tie the arms into a bow. Finish off the tomboy look with a blazer, funky heels and accessories. This look will be an office favorite!

2. The Date Night Look
This look is perfect for a day date or a sporting event. Borrow his college sweater and pair it with a flirty skirt, sneakers and leather jacket. I actually layered the sweater over a dress so you can always ditch the sweater or tie it around your waist for a day-turned-evening date.
JACKET (NICOLE MILLER) | SHIRT (C/O OLD NAVY) | DRESS (TARGET) |SNEAKERS (C/O LULU’S) | CLUTCH (TALBOTS) | SUNGLASSES (C/O SEE EYEWEAR)

3. The Girls Night Out Look
There’s a new way to wear your guy’s tie without feel like early 2000’s Avril Lavigne or major tomboy – use his tie as a belt! I belted an oversized shirtdress (you can also wear one of his button up shirts) and knotted the tie around my waist. I finished off the look with strappy heels, earrings and a clutch.

4. The Casual Look
Weekend brunch and chilling with your guy? Pair your favorite boyfriend jeans with his hoodie. If you actually manage to permanently “borrow” the hoodie, cut off the bottom waistband with scissors to create a cropped look. You can also replace the drawstring with a matching ribbon.
I found this sweater as is in the women’s section – but it’s super easy to DIY a similar look with your guy’s hoodie.
SWEATSHIRT, SNEAKERS (C/O LULU’S) | JEANS (C/O MADEWELL) | CLUTCH (C/O URBAN EXPRESSIONS) |EARRINGS (CHARLOTTE RUSSE) | SUNGLASSES (WOODZEE)

5. The Party Look
Break out the sexy little slip dress and metallic heels because this party look is my favorite! I layered a sports jacket with the slip dress for a super fun and flirty party look.
