Good morning everyone! It’s the start of a new week, and I’ll be sharing a BTS look at my stay at Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, Arizona on the blog this week! Hotel Valley Ho was the second hotel I stayed at during my Arizona trip (see my recap on Mountain Shadows here) and this stay completely blew me away. I’ve been to the Hotel Valley Ho a couple times while I lived in the Scottsdale/Tempe area for fashion shows or various events, but I’ve always been curious what it was like to stay there.
Their amazing team put me up in a Tower Signature King room and it was HUGE! When you enter the main room you walk into a full-functioning kitchen area with a hightop counter, stove, sink/dishwasher and fridge. Then the room opens to a large living room area and patio. To the right, was the bedroom area with a king bed and enormous bathroom area with a walk-in closet, washer/dryer unit and glass shower. On the opposite side of the living room was the second room / suite with another king-sized bed, bathroom and private patio. I don’t even think these photos can truly do the room justice because it was such a beautiful room and fun experience.
Hotel Valley Ho, just like Mountain Shadows, was a modern staple in the 1950’s. The hotel originally opened in 1956 and was a Hollywood hideaway in its heyday for celebrities like Bing Crosby, Tony Curtis, Zsa Zsa Gabor and many more. In the early 2000’s the hotel was bought and restored to the mid-century splendor. It re-opened in 2005 and has since been the cool, very vibrant, place to stay in Scottsdale.
On the afternoon that I checked in, I set out for the pool and cocktails with my friend Kelly. Afterwards, we hung out on our patio, caught up and got ready for our dinner reservation at the hotel restaurant, ZuZu. The dinner was insanely delicious and my sister joined us for post-dinner cocktails. The next morning, my sister and I ate breakfast at ZuZu before leaving the hotel. It was the perfect little staycation and I highly recommend anyone staying in the Scottsdale area to check out Hotel Valley Ho – also if you’re more up north, look into Mountain Shadows!
Below I’m sharing more pictures of our hotel room, dinner and also a sneak peek and what will be on the blog this week! Enjoy your Monday! xo
