Happy Saturday! It’s an exciting day over here in SAK-land because I’m sharing a surprise at the end of today’s blog post (don’t peek ahead!) but first, let’s talk about today’s super fun hair tutorial! I’ve teamed up with Got2b to test out their new Volumaniac line, and I think it’s safe to say that I’m loving these products! I grew up using Got2b products to spike up my bob in middle school (eeek) and master the perfectly messy do in high school. I love that I’ve been able to use Got2b in every hair stage of my life and today I’ll be sharing 3 super easy summer hairstyles you can use with their new line. So let’s take a look at the products and styles!

The Products

The Bodifying Mousse – I love putting this on my hair before styling for extra volume and body

The Root Lifting Spray – I curl my hair about 95% of the time, so this is great to add a little volume back into my curls

The Bodify Hairspray  This stuff really works! I’ve tried so many hairsprays throughout the years but this held my hair all day but wasn’t “crusty” and I could still brush through my hair

The Hairstyles

The Original Bun Shakers – I’m a huge fan of the top knot, but I still haven’t experimented with the two top buns in about two decades, so I’m excited to rock this look this summer!

Glam Curls – This is an Audree original! I have naturally straight hair, and when it’s this shorter length, I like curling my hair to extra volume and movement.

The Pompadour – Talk about a throwback! I loved big hair – I was all about pompadours, teasing and even the occasional bump-it (no judging here…) but I’m ready to put a modern take on the pompadour this summer!

Look #1: The Original Bun Shakers

Step 1: Apply mousse from the root to tip of your hair

Step 2: Part your hair down the middle and separate. Pull one side into a high pony and secure.SimplyAudreekate.G2B1

Step 3: Tease the pony and wrap into a bun, and secure with bobby pins!
*Teasing helps create ‘bigger buns’ 😉 – so this is really great if you have thin hair, or shorter hair like me!SimplyAudreekate.G2B2

Step 4: Finish the look with hairspray!

Step 2: Divide the remaining side hair into two sections and twist (or french braid) along your scalp. Secure with bobby pins and repeat on the other side.

Step 3: Tease the top section of hair, smooth out with your brush and pull back into a ponytail.

Step 4: Tease and hairspray the ponytail for a messy/texturized look

Look #3: The Glam Curls

Step 1: Apply root lifting spray on each layer before curling

Step 2: Curl!

I normally curl my hair in 3 to 4 layers (I have really thick hair). I curl the bottom layer (ear to nape of the neck), Layer 2 is temples down, Layer 3 is the rest of my hair, and layer 4 – are those top pieces that will be touched up at the end.

*Tip: My bottom two layers are curled normally, but my top layers are wrapped around the barrel to create tighter curl

Step 3: Run your fingers through your hair, spray with hairspray and you’re done!
