It’s National Stripes Day everyone, and you bet your sweet cheeks I’m excited! J.Crew is hosting their first ever (100% totally made-up) holiday and I think it’s honestly now one of my top five favorite holidays. You all know how often I wear stripes on the blog, and that I strongly believe they are a neutral in my wardrobe – so I think it’s only fitting that I share my new favorite striped top from J.Crew today! I dressed up my ruffle-sleeve stop with a fun and flirty metallic skirt, and added the perfect J.Crew (and very SAK) touch of a denim jacket, bandana and white sneaks.

I think this is great look for the weekend because it’s comfortable for running around town in, but just dressed-up enough for mimosas at brunch. You can also easily transition this look into a night ensemble by trading the sneakers for strappy heels, bandana for dangly statement earrings, and pulling your hair back into a messy top knot or pony.

I wear my stripes with everything. Whether I’m pairing it with denim and sneakers for a casual day look, or dressing it up with metallics, mixed prints and fun lipstick for a night on the town; I can guarantee you that stripes are definitely SAK-approved and great for any occasion.
