Happy Wear It Wednesday! Today’s tutorial is one that you have probably seen on Pinterest a few times already, so I wanted re-create it and share my favorite 6 ways to wear a blanket scarf this winter. I actually wear this scarf almost every morning during the winter because it’s neutral, cozy and I can easily layer it over a coat or wrap it around my neck and face to shield out the bitterness of the cold. So let’s get to it – here are 6 easy ways to style your blanket scarf! xo
1. The Standard
I call this The Standard because you can fold your scarf longways in half and drape it over your outfit or coat. Easy peasy.
2. The Classic Loop
Remember infinity scarves? Well I could not get enough of them during the early 2000’s and I remember I had to have a serious talk with myself at one point because I wore a different one almost every day. I was obsessed. The main problem though was finding one that you could wrap around without having it too bunched up near your neck. By using a blanket scarf, you can still get the same effect of an infinity loop, but no suffocating your neck since you determine how it lays. Hello updated, and more chic infinity loop!
3. Over the Shoulder
This is my “faking cool” scarf look. Like I ran out of the house and barely threw on a scarf, but I’m a chic blogger. In reality I find this great for keeping your neck still warm but not having to worry about the bulk of an entire blanket scarf around your neck, or falling out of place since I ever so nonchalantly threw it over of my shoulder.
4. The Poncho
Are you always cold in the office like I am? *Walks in The Poncho. Instead of keeping an extra cardigan at your desk, embrace the poncho vibe with your scarf. You can simply just drape it over your shoulders and arms, or even belt it to keep it in place for the day. You’ll feel snug in a rug like a little bug.
5. The Pull-Through Loop
I always feel a little preppy doing the pull-through loop with my scarf, but it’s a serious winter full-proof way to style your scarf. It’s efficient, easy to learn and ever so cozy. I do this style on really cold days to keep my neck warm and tuck in the end of the scarf to my jacket.
6. The Neck Warmer
Say hello again to infinity scarves. This is like The Classic Loop, but for those cold, windy days. It keeps your hair in place, your neck and face warm, plus it’s not moving anywhere.
