Is it really a fiesta without a margarita in hand? The answer is no. So in that case, I decided to make an entire margarita bar! Once we all arrived to The Saguaro Hotel on Friday night, the girls opened their survival kits, unpacked and tossed on their sombreros before dinner. I’m not lying to you when I say that these sombreros stayed on our heads the entire weekend. Literally! (proof below) From dinner, to the pool, to naps and the bar – these trusty sombreros were our wingmen, sunshades and helped us spot each other in a crowd. (Thanks Oriental Trading for hooking us up with the coolest accessory that weekend!)
Once we arrived to the restaurant, the team rolled out a Make-Your-Own Gaucamole station. I honestly think I was more excited about the MYO guac than I was my actual meal that night. We each grabbed a little bowl, avocados, and selected from a variety of mix-ins! It was so cool being able do something with the group, that Arseña, my mom and I love doing when we’re doing together as a family. Once gauc, chips, cocktails and meals were consumed, we headed back to the suite for our DIY Margarita Bar!
A couple months ago, I did a recap on a blogger event I co-hosted called Carbs & Cocktails. At the event, we were introduced to this incredible cocktail mixer company called, Powell & Mahoney. They have a variety of mixes such as: Margartias, Bellini, Mojito, Bloody Mary and Cosmopolitan! We ended up picking up a couple extra Bloody Mary mixes for Saturday morning too! The mixes were absolutely delicious and the jalapeño flavored one definitely kicked up the spice that night!
Once again, a huge thank you to Oriental Trading for all the decor, Powell & Mahoney for the margarita mixes, and The Saguaro for an incredible dinner and additional fruit and juices for the marg bar! Hope you enjoy today’s post!
Check back on Saturday for an additional post about the lingerie gift part of the night! You’ll be able to shop some of the Soma pieces that the guests received, as well as some of my other favs! xo
A huge thank you to all of the sponsors who helped make this weekend happen!
