Do you ever feel like after a vacation you need a vacation from your vacation? I had a red-eye flight back to New York Sunday evening and went straight to work from the plane. The entire week my emails have been piling up, I can’t seem to catch up on sleep, no blog posts have not gone up, and I need another vacation. UGH! But all in all, Vegas a wonderful weekend trip! It was so nice seeing my family and friends and even getting a little sunshine! Now I’m back on the work grind until Memorial Day weekend for my next little adventure, the Hamptons! It’ll be my first trip to the Hamptons and I’m so excited!
Today’s look is showing off this vintage shirt dress with some of my closet staples: A black shift dress, black ankle boots, a bandana and a statement necklace. I found a similar dress at Madewell (here) that you can use to recreate this look! You can either button it up, leave it open or belt it for all very different looks. Also, by accessorizing the simple outfit with a variety of pieces such as the hat, necklace and wearing a bandana as a bracelet can amplify the “cool” factor of the outfit. Hi Audree, love that you got some sun while visiting family, that’s what I do when I go to Florida to see mine. You’re rocking the denim shirt dress. I often use my chambray shirt as a light jacket on top of dresses when I want to bring a minimal layer with me for those cool nights or windy days. I started consciously building in 1-2 “recovery” days after vacation flights that take me through different time zones. It helped immensely! Straight to work after a a red eye is brutal!
