The Summer Canadian Tuxedo

Family Lifestyle Portrait

I’m a proud supporter of denim on denim. I realize that wearing denim on denim might scare some of you, and it took me awhile to play with the concept, but I love it! My first suggestion to wearing denim on denim is to mix and match shades and types of denim. Try wearing a dark wash pant with a lighter wash top or jacket, or have one of the pieces be embroidered or patterned to break up the large mass of denim. I decided to go outside of my comfort zone today and wear the same shade or light-wash denim. I paired my long Rachel Roy denim jacket with my new pair of Madewell denim shorts. I wore a graphic tee (typical Audree haha) and then layered on this new necklace. I found this necklace in the NYC jewelry district while searching for something with my friend and instantly fell in love. It was obnoxious – just like how I like my jewelry – and since I don’t own much yellow in my closet, I figured it would be fun for summer! You can shop the look below, and have a great Monday! xo

  1. Audree,

You pull denim on denim off really well! I’ve come to love the trend more, but I have yet to try it. I know if I do it will have to be the same washes of denim (is that weird?). Anywho boo, you look great! Love the sunglasses and necklace match up!

    Xoxo
