Oh hello Fall, it’s nice to see you again! I am beyond excited to share today’s post with you. I teamed up with Savers thrift store and three fabulous blogger/thrifting queens to bring you a Fall 2015 Lookbook! I always find it difficult to start something new, even as simple as a season change, without wanting to get new pieces to revamp my wardrobe. But that’s what is so great about thrifting, you can practically get a whole new wardrobe for a fraction of the price.
This collaboration was set a few weeks before I moved to NYC, but I ended up moving two weeks before I expected so my shopping trip was postponed. I thought there was a Savers near my new place, but I apparently can’t read a map and was way too far to trek without a car. So my first thought was obviously, “crap I can’t do this collaboration, I only moved with a suitcase” etc etc.. you know, a minor fashion blogger meltdown, but out of the goodness of my sweet mother’s heart, she stopped by Savers when she was in Phoenix for the day and literally took me on a virtual shopping trip on Facetime. Mother of the Year award? I think yes! Just imagine my mother showing me all of the clothes, trying the coats on to see if they fit, talking to me and asking which pieces I liked. She seriously is the reason I am able to post this Lookbook and I also have to say, Karen has some killer style, she did great picking out these pieces!!
I got 4 skirts, overalls, 2 jackets, 3 sweaters, 2 vests, a pair of boat shoes, 5 necklaces, 2 cuffs and a ring for right under $200. Not all of the items are posted in this week’s Lookbook but they’ll be on the blog soon!
The other ladies joining me today are: Amy’s Vintage Closet – My AZ blogger bestie and fashion show partner-in-crime, Karla Reed – My Instagram blogger crush who has the most adorable kids and thrifted outfits, and Run Style Run – My fashion and fitness inspiration, and her dog, Huckleberry, is going to make you reconsider all of your life decisions because he is just so dang cute! Make sure to show these ladies some love today and check out their lookbooks as well! I’ll be posting each individual outfit this week with outfit details, where to buy similar pieces, and I’ll even be sharing a couple more surprises so stay tuned and let’s celebrate that it’s finally Fall!
Here’s a glimpse of my Saver’s Fall Lookbook and make sure to come back tomorrow for my first full outfit post!
