DIY Harem Pants

It has been quite some time since I’ve written a DIY blog post and it’s good to be back in action! Yesterday I featured a pair of harem pants and today I’m showing you how to make your own! A little over a year ago I found these sunflower stretch pants at a thrift store and wanted to convert them either into shorts or harem pants but they ended up falling to the way-side in my closet. I recently discovered them again and decided it was FINALLY time to vamp up these granny pant(ies).

First I turned the pants inside out and folded the hem about one inch up and sewed around about 90% to attach the new hem

Next, attach a safety pin to the end of a piece of elastic and push the safety pin through the hem until the elastic is through both ends and sew the ends together (make sure you fold your hem with enough room for the elastic to fit through).

Finish the end of your hem and even out the scrunchiness and viola!
