Christmas shopping is done best with enough time to plan out what you want to buy everyone. It feels great when you have all of your shopping done, but what do you do when it’s practically Christmas and you realized you forgot a few people, or someone you didn’t expect said they bought you a gift and you did not buy them one? Do not panic! These gifts can be easy. There are a few good stores that you can go to that will check these last minute gifts off your list, as well as a few good ideas for gifts for people you are not quite sure what to get them.
One of the best places to go are those little hole in the wall fashion stores like G-Stage and Fashion Joy, or local boutiques like Diva’s and Pitaya. These stores are great to find trendy pieces that will be a great stocking stuffer, last minute gift, etc. One of the best and most practical gifts to get is a scarf. Make sure to keep in mind what colors the person usually wears so they will be more willing to wear the scarf. If you are not exactly sure stick to the natural colors like black, ivory, grey, and tan. If you want to go one step further you could add a beanie or a pair of gloves to the scarf to make a little winter gift. Try to pick a beanie that goes with the scarf but is not the exact same color or print.
Other easy gifts to find are accessories! What girl doesn’t love accessories?! The best place to go for accessories are Forever 21, H&M, and Charming Charlies. These stores are perfect for their wide selection and good prices. Picking accessories like necklaces, bracelets, and earrings is a little harder than picking a scarf. A scarf is an easy add on to an outfit so there are lots of different ways or outfits you can wear them with. Necklaces on the other hand are often a feature of an outfit rather than an add on so you want to make sure the person you are buying for will actually wear it. Statement necklaces are extremely popular right now and you can’t go wrong with find one that will compliment their personal style. Go for bold colors if they love color or find a simple jeweled one if they are more simple.
If you are not sure about a statement necklace you can always try the long chains with a pendant on it. These are more simple and very easy to wear. You can also try a bracelet. A simple or slightly bedazzled bangle is usually a good choice. When trying to find any of these, scarves, necklaces, or bracelets, the three stores mentioned are great. But in worst case scenario, and there’s no time for a mall, we love Target! The best thing about getting gifts here is that you can get you wrapping paper or gift bag at the same time too. Another store like Target is Kohl’s.
Now for people who you have no idea what to get them and have no idea what kind of fashion they like, the next easiest gift that is fast and easy to get is Starbucks. You do not have to get just a gift card though. That can be generic and boring. Try getting a gift card and putting it in a coffee tumbler with tissue paper. You can then use the Starbucks paper bag as your gift bag and put green tissue paper to top it off. You can even make a little coffee basket with a bag of coffee and a mug. These are those easy, never fail gifts that you can bet just about anyone will enjoy.
One last quick and easy place to shop for gifts is Bed Bath & Beyond. It is easy to forget how much this store actually has. The other plus to this store as well is that it is usually not located in a mall. An easy gift idea from here is a candle and a warm blanket. These two go together well for the winter and again is something practical that will actually get used. Who doesn’t love blankets? If you want to add a little more to this gift you can add a book or a movie, or even hot chocolate mix, although you will most likely have to go to another store for these additions.
No need to stress over Christmas shopping this year! Think ahead, be smart and get creative! Any of these gift ideas can be put together and look great and don’t let the stress of shopping last minute ruin the holiday spirit.
