This past Sunday, 19 firefighters lost their lives in the Yarnell fire. This tragic incident has greatly affected my entire community. My family knew a number of the men who were killed that day and these men will always be remembered in our community’s hearts. This Fourth of July is a celebration of our country, the individuals who continually fight to protect our homes and freedom and most of all, it is to honor those fallen heroes.
My question to you is, how do you represent your American Flag? Do you proudly wear the red, white and blue? I absolutely love this holiday because it is the time of year that an entire community, especially my beloved small town of Prescott, really celebrate our country and all that we represent.

American Flag Cookie Dessert
Flatten out a roll of Pillsbury sugar cookie and cook for 8 min. Cut your strawberry stem out in a triangle and then cut into slices
cut out fabric for the size of a skirt you already own and fits you well. Hem the end of the skirt and sew together one end.
fold over the top 1 1/2 inches (enough for your elastic to fit through. Attach a safety pin on the end and feed through your elastic.
pin the elastic on the size you want and sew it and then sew the last side.
