It’s that time of year again – fall wedding season! I absolutely love fall weddings, and maybe it’s just because I’m a *Basic* girl who loves fall, but there’s just something about the season change that I love. Last year, my sister’s wedding was at the beginning of October and I wrote a short little fall wedding dress guide (READ HERE), so this year I wanted to re-create a similar post and share a more in-depth look at wedding dress code and share a handful of outfit inspirations with you! As you scroll through the various dress code themes, you can see what you, and your guy, should wear to the wedding. Plus, you can see 2-3 outfits that I have already wore on the blog that you can easily re-create for your next wedding event. Click below the picture to see the full blog post and outfit details.
Enjoy! xo
White Tie Wedding
This is the most formal wedding dresscode
You Should Wear: Formal, full-length ball gown
He Should Wear: A tuxedo with tails, white vest and bowtie.
Black Tie Wedding
This is more common than white tie, and usually means that the wedding is a formal evening affair.
You Should Wear: A long evening gown or cocktail dress.
He Should Wear: A tuxedo
Black Tie Optional / Formal Wedding
This is less formal than black tie – a tuxedo isn’t required, but the overall crowd is still dressed up.
You Should Wear: A long evening gown or cocktail dress.
He Should Wear: A Tuxedo or dark suit and tie
Semi-Formal Wedding
My suggestion is if the event is at night, wear darker colors and if the event is during the day, you can get away with lighter fabrics. Things are still fairly dressed up, but you can play around more with these options!
You Should Wear: cocktail dress, jumpsuit, skirt/top
He Should Wear: A suit
City Wedding
These are probably your super trendy friends and you can expect wedding guests to take some fashion risks. Break out that piece you never really wear, say yes to embellishments, your favorite heels and even a cool-girl leather jacket.
You Should Wear: Something festive, statement and trendy
He Should Wear: Suit, mix&match suit pieces
Farm/Backyard/Casual Wedding
This category is all kind of lumped into one, but make sure to look into the location, weather, etc. I typically ditch the heels for a casual wedding and opt for a wedge, flat or bootie.
You Should Wear: Cotton/linen dress, skirt/top, jumpsuit/romper or something with more casual fabric
He Should Wear: Dress pants, button-down shirt and tie (optional), or polo
Destination Wedding
It obviously depends on where the destination wedding is, but pack something that is easy to throw in your suitcase and you can still adventure/travel in.
You Should Wear: Lightweight maxi dress, jumpsuit, 2-piece skirt/pant set
He Should Wear: Dress pants, button-down shirt and tie (optional), or polo

Buenísimos los looks, pero creo que es un poco más complicado que aquí en España vestir jajaja o me da la impresión. Aquí es un poco más como tu quieras o como de cercanos a ti sean los novios.
